Privacy Policy

Landed helps people who just moved to a new city meet others and find things to do. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and password (stored securely; we never see your password).
- Profile info you choose to add: name, photo, bio, city, and interests. Other Landed users can see your profile.
- Activity in the app: waves you send and receive, events you join, people you block or report, and problems you report to us.
- City Guide messages: what you type to the City Guide, so it can answer you.
- Location: only if you allow it, and only while you use the app, to show events near you. We don't store your location.
How we use it
- To run Landed: show your profile, deliver waves, and show you nearby people and events.
- To keep people safe: review reports, enforce blocks, and pause accounts that are reported by several people.
- To answer your support requests and improve the app.
We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run Landed. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Supabase hosts our database, accounts, and photos.
- Anthropic powers the City Guide and receives the messages you send it, plus your city and interests.
- Ticketmaster and SeatGeek provide event listings and receive your approximate location or city to find nearby events.
- Expo delivers app updates.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
Your choices
- Edit your profile any time in the app.
- Turn off "Show me to newcomers" to hide from the feed.
- Block anyone, and they won't see you or be able to wave at you.
- Delete your account in the app (Profile → Edit Profile → Delete my account). This removes your profile, photos, and activity.
- Turn off location access in your phone's settings.
Age
Landed is for people 18 and older. If we learn someone under 18 has an account, we'll delete it.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
